Day 1: Nha Trang Cruise (L,D)
Pick-up time 11.30 – 11.45am: Tourists will be picked up from hotel or the airport to the Emperor Lounge for refreshments before boarding the cruise at noon
Lunch is served as the cruise sets sail and drifts around the beautiful islets of Hon Mieu, Hon Tam and Hon Mot, among beaches and fishing villages until finally arrives at Hon Mun, a proposed marine protected area. It is home to a large variety of marine species, including the critically endangered Hawksbill turtle. The many small, rocky islands off the coast of Khanh Hoa province provide a suitable nesting habitat for the salanganes, whose nets have been harvested for years to make a traditional specialty called ‘salangane nest soup’. Tourists can participate in snorkeling, diving or admiring the beautiful coral reefs and marine life through a glass-bottom boat.
The rest of the afternoon is free for many activities, from spending time on the beach, going snorkeling and scuba-diving, to trekking to the village in Dam Bay or returning to the cruise to enjoy the on-board activities. Guests can enjoy the sunset with a cocktail in hand before the barbecue on the sun deck. A live band performs every Friday and Saturday. After-dinner drinks are served on the rooftop bar or guests can participate in squid fishing and watching a movie.
Day 2: Sunrise and Nha Trang Bay (B)
After a tai chi session on the sundeck at dawn, hot drinks and pastries are served. The ship cruises around Dam Bay lagoon, home to fishermen and farmers, before continuing to Tre Beach, a wild stretch of silky white sand with tropical coconut trees to the south of Hon Tre island. The ship continue among the bay for a short visit to Tri Nguyen aquarium, before a 30 minute walk across the island to see villagers going about their daily life, purchasing at the market, making fishing nets, etc.. The sightseeing ends with the tourists visiting a temple dedicated to the guardian of the sea, then returning to the cruise by traditional basket boats. A buffet brunch is served after all the sightseeing, while the cruise returns to the mainland with lovely views of the city on the approach. The cruise returns at around 11am, after which the guests will be picked-up and returned to their hotels in the city.
